THE CRAFTING JOURNEY

Handcrafted in my Northumberland Studio, this wonderful cascade of amethysts,
joined to form a lariat or 'rope chain', is a gorgeous combination of
semi-precious stones and mixed metals, faceted and polished to catch the light.

The gemstone ‘teardrop’ is a timeless shape that stone cutters have favoured
for centuries. Here, I weave fine metal thread to the tip of the teardrop to
accent the stone and speak to the artisan detailing that truly cannot be found
on the high street.

The abundance and beauty of quartz has meant that it has been used as a
gemstone since the dawn of history.

Occurring in virtually every colour, quartz has been honored and worshipped
through the ages and worn as an amulet to ensure good luck and health.

hidden amongst the rolling Tynedale hills of beautiful Northumberland. We are a
